Resistor, IS A current LIMITING ELEMENT, AFTER THE RESISTOR is connected to the circuit, the resistor value is fixed, usually two pins, its function is to limit the amount of current through the branch to which it is connected or as a load in the circuit, is an electronic component.
General resistance has the following types:
Fixed resistance: refers to the resistance value fixed constant resistance;
Adjustable resistance: commonly known as potentiometer, refers to the resistance value of continuous adjustable resistance;
Trimmer resistance: refers to the resistance whose value can be tweaked;
Thermistor: a resistance whose value varies with temperature;
(1) Positive temperature coefficient thermistor: refers to the resistance value increases with the temperature (PTC);
(2) Negative temperature coefficient thermistor: refers to the resistance value decreases with the temperature;
Photoresistor: a resistance whose value varies with temperature;
Wet-sensitive resistor: refers to the resistance value changes with temperature;
Varistor: A resistance whose value varies with voltage.
